Fast becoming one of our most popular garment lamb hides, our new Ultra Lightweight Silky Lamb Nappa is a chrome-tanned lambskin with a full aniline, matte finish and a silky smooth surface that exudes luxury and refinement. Hides average 5–7 square feet with an ultra-light 0.3–0.4 mm (1 oz) in thickness, making it well-suited for applications that require minimal weight with a refined drape. The lamb hide structure provides a consistent, fine grain with a soft hand, while the ultra-thin profile allows the leather to move naturally without added bulk.
Ultra Lightweight Silky Lamb Nappa has a soft, supple temper with a fluid drape, making it perfect for luxury men’s and women’s garments. Common uses include leather shirts and blouses, lightweight jackets, skirts, luxury lining, trim, and spring/summer apparel. Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
