Economy Cow Nappa sides average 18-24 square feet, with a consistent 2 to 3 ounce thickness. Colors are drum dyed and struck through, while the pigmented, protected finish ensures consistent color and texture, making Economy Cow Nappa ideal for projects that demand uniformity and reliability. 

Please Note: During the tanning process, some skins develop a small hole - this is a normal aspect of working with full grain leather and does not affect overall usability.

Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
