About Walpier Hatch Buttero Leather
Conceria Walpier Hatch Buttero leather is a premium Italian vegetable tanned cow leather made in shoulders with a clean, uniform hatch-embossed texture. Offered in Green, Natural, Cognac, and Black, this full aniline leather has a medium-to-firm temper, a burnishable finish, and a smooth resin-finished back side for a refined working surface. Double shoulders average 13–18 sq. ft., while single shoulders average 6–9 sq. ft., with a substantial 5–5.5 oz thickness that gives each hide structure, durability, and a polished luxury look.
Crafted in Italy by Conceria Walpier, Hatch Buttero combines the rich character of classic Buttero leather with a sophisticated embossed pattern that brings added depth and elegance to finished pieces.
Its firm body, clean grain, and excellent burnishing potential makes Hatch Buttero ideal for handbags, belting, strapping, leather goods, and accessories. Whether used for structured bags, refined straps, or premium small leather goods, this leather delivers the timeless appeal of Italian veg tan with a distinctive hatch finish made for high-end craftsmanship.
Please Note
Leather is a natural product. We strive to keep new lots within size, color, and quality tolerance, but some hides may have slight variations in size or color, or have natural imperfections such as scars or small holes.
Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
