About Calf Suede Double Butt Leather
Calf Suede Double Butts combine the rich, indulgent softness of luxury calf with the elegant drape and exceptional durability of chrome tanned suede. Double Butts average 18-24 square feet, with a consistent 4-4.5 ounce thickness (1.6-1.8 mm) that has a substantial feel without feeling overly heavy.
Calf Suede Double Butts are drum dyed and struck through for rich, uniform color. Buffed for maximum consistency, Calf Suede Double Butts have a massive cutting surface, with high yields and almost no waste. Available in over 35 stylish colors, this calf suede is ideal for luxury handbags and accessories, home furnishings, upholstery, footwear, and heavy apparel.

Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
