About Transparent Lamb Leather, 2 ounce - Natural
We searched all over the world for the best transparent leather on the market, and we found it! Our new Transparent Lamb Leather 2 oz has a smooth, luxurious hand with an undyed, natural, slightly yellow hue, offering a futuristic visual effect with an organic edge. The 2 ounce thickness and medium temper makes it perfect for futuristic apparel and outerwear, accessories, avant garde fashion, and interior design projects.
With an average size of 4–6 square feet, Transparent Lamb Leather 2 oz has a 0.6–0.8 mm thickness with a medium, structured temper, offering a little more body than the lighter 1.5 ounce Transparent Lamb (also available in smoke grey). The medium, structured temper makes Transparent Lamb Leather 2 oz especially well suited for apparel, soft bags, clutches, jackets, footwear, hats, and experimental fashion.
More About Transparent Leather
Transparent leather is a specialty leather that's been tanned with a special chemical process that results in a translucent appearance, allowing some light to pass through the hide while retaining the properties and characteristics of leather. Unlike synthetic vinyl and PVC materials, transparent leather is real leather, providing the tactile richness of organic hides with a strikingly unique visual effect.
Transparent Leather is one of the most talked-about materials in fashion right now. Also referred to as see-through leather, translucent lambskin, or sheer leather, transparent leather is commonly used for designer fashion, costumes, accessories, outerwear, bags, wallets, and more. Let your imagination run wild with one of the hottest hides in the leather world, transparent lambskin leather from Global Leathers and LeatherSkins.com
Please Note
Leather is a natural product. We strive to keep new lots within size, color, and quality tolerance, but some hides may have slight variations in size or color, or have natural imperfections such as scars or small holes.
Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
