About Premium Top Grain Nubuck Cowhide
Premium Top Grain Nubuck Cowhide is a soft, luxurious cow nubuck that looks, feels, and smells amazing. These hides are bigger than average, with whole hides measuring 55-65 square feet, and half hides measuring 27-32 square feet. It comes in 6 natural, earthy colors that are perfect for fall/winter home goods, outerwear, accessories, handbags and more.
Top Grain Nubuck has been lightly sanded or buffed to create a soft, velvety surface similar to suede. Unlike suede, which is made from the underside of the hide, nubuck retains the strong, premium top-grain layer. Chrome tanned with a wonderfully soft temper, and a thickness of 1.4-1.6 mm (3.5-4 ounce) this leather has a substantial feel without being overly heavy, making it ideal for luxury upholstery, Handbags, Heavy Garments, Shoes, Leather Goods & Accessories.

Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
