About Premium Metallic Goat Hides

Premium Metallic Goat Leather is one of our top-selling metallic skins! It's perfect for luxury creations like handbags, garments, footwear, and lined accessories. Premium Metallic Goat skins have an average size of 6-8 square feet and a consistent thickness between 0.9-1.1 mm, making the hides ideal for production runs where consistency and yield are primary concerns.

Despite its light weight, Metallic Goat is exceptionally strong, as well as being flexible, and luxuriously smooth. The sophisticated sheen elevates any design while the chrome tannage offers practical function and wearability. These hides showcase a striking metallic finish in three color options: Silver, Gold, and Pewter. With a distinct shine and smooth, luxurious hand feel, this leather is also great as lining for high end bookbinding projects.

Please Note

Leather is a natural product. We strive to keep new lots within size, color, and quality tolerance, but some hides may have slight variations in size or color, or have natural imperfections such as scars or small holes.

Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
