About Hand-Stained Lizard Embossed Cow Leather
Hand-Stained Lizard Embossed Cow Leather is a chrome-tanned whole cowhide with a raised reptile embossing and two-tone hand-stained finish. The pattern has the look of lizard-style exotic leather, though it is best described as a lizard/reptile embossed cow leather rather than a specific lizard species. The hand staining adds depth across the embossed grain, helping highlight the raised texture and surface detail.
At 1–1.2 mm, or approximately 3 oz, About Hand-Stained Lizard Embossed Cow Leather has a medium temper that works well for upholstery, handbags, footwear, accessories, motorcycle apparel and accessories, home goods, automotive accents, and fashion applications. Each whole hide averages 45–55 square feet, offering a very large cutting area for oversized panels, corporate interiors, furniture, jackets, bags, and other projects that require a high-yield embossed leather with a luxury reptile-inspired finish.
Please Note
Leather is a natural product. We strive to keep new lots within size, color, and quality tolerance, but some hides may have slight variations in size or color, or have natural imperfections such as scars or small holes.
Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
