About Hand-Stained Floral Embossed Cow Leather
Hand-Stained Floral Embossed Cow Leather is a chrome-tanned whole cowhide with a raised floral embossing and two-tone hand-stained finish. The pattern has the look of traditional tooled leather, with a floral design that can work well for western-inspired, vintage, decorative, and fashion-forward projects. The hand staining helps bring out the raised detail in the embossed surface while adding depth and variation across each hide.
At 1–1.2 mm, or approximately 3 oz, Hand-Stained Floral Embossed Cow Leather has a medium temper that makes it suitable for upholstery, handbags, footwear, accessories, motorcycle applications, and home goods. Each whole hide averages a massive 45–55 square feet, providing a large cutting area for furniture panels, interior design projects, bags, jackets, decorative accents, and other pieces that require a high-yield embossed cowhide with a detailed floral finish.

Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
