About Printed Hair-On Cow Sides

Our Printed Hair-On Cow Sides combine the luxurious texture of hair-on cow with the eye-catching colors and patterns of exotic hides. We start with premium sides of hair-on cowhide averaging 14-20 square feet, chrome tanned to a medium temper, with short, tight hair, and a thickness of 1.2-1.4 mm (3-3.5 ounce). The hides are then printed with ultra-realistic exotic animal prints and abstract patterns that are full of depth, color, and visual appeal.

Printed Hair-On Cow Sides are ideal for designers and makers looking to bring bold texture and visual interest into their work. Durable yet supple, the hides cut and sew cleanly, making them well-suited for luxury handbags, totes, clutches, belt inlays, appliqués, footwear, accessories, upholstery.

Leather is a natural product. We strive to keep new lots within size, color, and quality tolerance, but some hides may have slight variations in size or color, or have natural imperfections such as scars or small holes.

Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
