About Distressed Garment Weight Sheep Leather

Our Distressed Garment Sheep with Nappa Back is an extremely unique article, designed for those who appreciate rough character with a smooth, luxurious hand. Featuring a beautifully weathered, vintage-inspired distressed finish on the grain side, and a smooth, refined nappa finish on the flesh side, this leather offers two stunning aesthetics in one hide.

Distressed Garment Sheep with Nappa Back hides are on the larger side, averaging 8-10 square feet, with a consistent 2 to 2.5 ounce weight that drapes beautifully. With a distressed look and a luxuriously soft feel, this leather is ideal for costume design, vintage-inspired garments, rustic home furnishings, outerwear, and much more. The rugged beauty of this leather is sure to turn heads.

Please Note

Leather is a natural product. We strive to keep new lots within size, color, and quality tolerance, but some hides may have slight variations in size or color, or have natural imperfections such as scars or small holes.

Hide sizes may vary. Leather square footage isn’t measured as a true length-by-width area — it’s based on the hide’s surface area before finishing or shrinkage. Tanneries calculate footage from the raw hide stage and stamp the size on the flesh (back) side of the hide. We use the measurements provided by the tannery, but some variation in actual size is normal.
